ABC's Child Care Center is looking a energetic, fun, afternoon associate/aide that will contribute to the awesome team we already have in place!
Afternoon position floats between all three rooms. You main responsibility will be to ensure the safety of the children in your care while having fun and teaching age-appropriate skills. Must have the ability to work with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
Supervises daily activities of assigned group.
Provides custodial care to assigned group, maintaining the routine of each child according to prescribed procedures, and attending to the physical and nurturing needs of each child on an individual basis.
Ensures a safe and secure environment that is orderly, clean, and appealing, and that permits the child to grow and explore.
Maintains a healthy environment by keeping the children clean and teaching and practicing good hygiene.
Adheres to all state regulations and accepted practices and procedures of the Child Care Center.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must enjoy working with children.
Must be a team player. Must have the ability to remain patient and focused under stressful circumstances.
Must have great communication skills with early childhood ages as well as adults.
Must be flexible with work assignments.
Education High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 college credits in early childhood education, including 3 credits in human growth and development. Or other acceptable levels of education and/or experience under state regulatory guidelines.
