Position Responsibilities: · Assist in the implementation of Preschool program activities and encourage participation by children. ·Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials. ·Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and daily reports. ·Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling. ·Help ensures smooth, daily transitions for children. ·Follow all program policies and state regulations. ·Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvementRequired Skills and Experience: • A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role including all FBI and fingerprinting background checks • Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
