Lead Teacher

Preschool in the Village is seeking a Lead Teacher to share learning activities with a class of 4-year-olds in our play-based environment. Come and join the fun! This Lead Teacher will spend their mornings with a class of 4-year-olds, Monday-Friday during the school year. The Lead Teacher and their Associate engage children in activities that support emerging skills and foster social/emotional development through the use of positive guidance. They are responsible for curriculum planning and preparation, classroom management, and professional communication with parents.Interested candidates must have 18 college credits in early childhood or elementary education, and at least 2 years of experience leading a classroom, after school program, summer camp, or daycare setting. PIV is a non-profit early childhood center with half-day programs, a toddler playgroup, and speech/language therapy for children ages 2 to 5 years old during the school year. PIV has supported young children and their families since 1996 and is located in the historic Amherst village district.
